Northern Arizona took the first two spots and had eight athletes finish in the top 11 in the men's 8-kilometer race to secure a 20-45 victory against Montana State at the Big Sky Conference Cross Country Championships at the University of Montana Golf Course in Missoula. Northern Arizona had Nico Young triumph in 22:49.8 and Aaron Las Heras earn second in 23:10.7 on its way to a third consecutive men's team title. Kang Nyoak finished fourth in 23:37.7, Corey Gorgas took fifth in 23:38.9, Theo Quax earned eighth in 24:02.9, Cael Grotenhuis grabbed ninth in 24:07.0, Jack Scherer placed 10th in 24:07.6 and Colin Sahlman captured 11th in 24:16.7 for the Lumberjacks.
